Answers to the questions we hear most often about ordering handmade children's clothing from Lisabelle Kids.
What ages does Lisabelle Kids make clothing for?
We make dresses, gowns, sets and coats for children aged 0 to 12. Most products are offered in age sizes from 6 months or 1 year up to 12+ years. Please check our size guide and choose your child's age carefully, because every piece is made to order.
Is every piece really handmade?
Yes. Each garment is cut, sewn and embroidered by hand in our atelier in Tirana, Albania, by skilled Albanian women artisans. The embroidery on many of our pieces is inspired by traditional Albanian motifs.
How long does it take to make my order?
Because nothing is made in advance, we begin your garment as soon as your order is placed. Most pieces are finished in about 3 days; our most elaborate gowns, such as the Celestial Ivory Dress, are hand-stitched over about five days.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship from Tirana, Albania. You will receive a tracking number by email within about 3 days of ordering, and transit usually takes up to about one week after dispatch. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your address.
Can I return or exchange an item?
No. Because every item is made to order specifically for your child, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Please review sizing, colours and any customisation details before placing your order. You can read the full policy on our Returns and Refund Policy page.
What fabrics do you use?
Our summer pieces are made from 100% linen and 100% cotton; our occasion wear uses silk, satin, organza and velvet; and our winter collection uses wool, cashmere blends and poplin. The fabric for each piece is listed in its product description.
Do you make custom designs?
Yes. Alongside our collections we offer a bespoke design service. Share your idea through our Contact page and our atelier will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece for your child.
How do I choose the right size?
Our sizes are listed by age. Please refer to our size guide before ordering and, if your child is between sizes or tall for their age, choose the larger size. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we will help you choose.
How should I care for a handmade garment?
We recommend gentle hand washing in cool water with a mild detergent, drying flat away from direct sunlight, and ironing on a low setting with embroidered areas face down on a soft cloth. Velvet, silk and organza pieces are best dry cleaned.
